Let's get to some of the sights
We'll start with...oh, I don't know...how about art?
This is the Orsay museum (Musee d'Orsay) as seen from the bridge. It's directly across the Seine from the Louvre. The building itself is stunning, and it contains the entire impressionist collection which was getting too big for the Louvre. You know all those paintings that you see on calandars and day books? Well, they're all here. And they are amazing. Jacques Chirac's greatest achievement as mayor of Paris was to turn the abandoned Orsay train station into one of the world's most brilliantly designed museums.
