Yes, sadly, it’s true. That bill is now in the Senate, and another even worse bill is in the House. In the 2010 election, the Teahadists elected a bunch of pro-corporate anti-human assholes to Congress, so they now have a majority in the House, and they can form a working majority in the Senate and both bills will probably pass (because there are always a few Democrats who are not really Democrats who will vote with the Republicans). When both bills pass, a committee will reconcile the two and this abomination to the constitution will become law. See? Voting matters!
